Minimum Qualifications:
60 semester hours from an accredited college or university with six semester hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child development from birth to age six

1560 clock hours of child development experience in a nursery school, kindergarten, or licensed day care center, and 30 semester hours from an accredited college or university with 6 semester hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child development from birth to age six

Completion of credentialing programs approved by the Department

Criminal background check required.
Physical examination as required by Illinois Child Care Act for employees in child care facilities.

If an application and exam request are not submitted together, the applicant/employee will be disqualified for consideration and the exam request denied.
